MTH642 Current Papers Subjective by MΛƬΉΣMΛƬICƧ

Q1. Define non-dimensional variable? Give an example of non-dimensional variable?

Non-dimensional (or dimensionless) variables are defined as quantities that change or vary in the problem, but have no dimensions.

Example is angle of rotation, measured in degrees or radians which are dimensionless units.

Q2. write the differential form of Newton Second law of motion in terms of linear momentum. What does this expression states?

Newton’s second law states that the acceleration of a body is proportional to the net force acting on it and is inversely proportional to its mass, and that the rate of change of the momentum of a body is equal to the net force acting on the body.

Newton’s second law: F=ma

=m dv / dt

= d (mv)/dt

Newton second law is also decision as “time rate of change of liner momentum”.

Q3. p
