Terms & Conditions

The App provides tools intended to help students access, organize, and interact with educational and learning-management information. Features may include course information, announcements, schedules, results, academic content, exam-preparation material, and other student tools.

The App is provided as a convenience and does not replace official university websites, notices, records, instructions, or communication channels. You should verify important academic information through official sources.

You must be legally permitted to use the App and any connected service. When a feature requires account credentials, you are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and authorized information.
• Keeping your credentials and device secure.
• Not sharing access with unauthorized persons.
• All activity performed through your account or device.

You must not use another person’s account or credentials without their express permission.

When you choose to save your VULMS login details, your VULMS ID and encrypted password are stored locally on your device for your convenience. VUBuddy Technologies does not store these credentials on its servers. You are responsible for securing your device and preventing unauthorized access to the App.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, server, API, network, or data.
• Interfere with, overload, damage, reverse engineer, bypass, or disrupt the App or its security features, except where applicable law expressly permits such activity.
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, harvest, or extract content in a manner that violates applicable rights or service rules.
• Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, harmful code, misleading content, or material that infringes another party’s rights.
• Manipulate advertisements, generate invalid ad activity, or encourage others to click ads improperly.
• Misrepresent the App as an official university application or service.

Any notes, questions, multiple-choice questions, explanations, predictions, summaries, or exam-preparation material provided through the App are for learning and practice purposes only.

We do not guarantee that educational content is complete, error-free, current, officially approved, or identical to material that will appear in an examination. You remain responsible for following your institution’s official syllabus, academic rules, examination policies, and instructions.

You must use the App in accordance with applicable academic-integrity rules. The App must not be used to cheat, obtain unauthorized answers during an assessment, impersonate another student, evade examination controls, or violate institutional policies.

The App may depend on or connect to third-party websites, educational systems, APIs, hosting providers, analytics tools, advertising services, or other external services. These services are governed by their own terms and policies.

We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, content, rules, or practices of third-party services. A third-party service may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue access at any time.

The App may display advertisements supplied through Google AdMob or other advertising partners. Advertisements may be selected based on factors permitted by applicable law, your device settings, and your consent choices.

Advertisers are responsible for their advertisements, products, websites, and services. Displaying an advertisement does not mean that VUBuddy Technologies endorses the advertiser or its offerings.

Use of the App is also subject to applicable Google advertising and publisher policies where relevant.

The App’s original design, software, branding, interface, and content created by VUBuddy Technologies are owned by or licensed to VUBuddy Technologies and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Third-party names, trademarks, logos, academic materials, and other content remain the property of their respective owners. No ownership rights are transferred to you under these Terms.

We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for lawful, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Where the App permits you to submit content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not violate the law or another person’s rights.

Feedback, suggestions, or ideas you voluntarily provide may be used to improve the App without an obligation to compensate you, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

We may add, change, suspend, limit, or remove App features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device, or continued availability of any particular feature.

Maintenance, technical failures, third-party changes, internet interruptions, security issues, or circumstances outside our control may affect the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

We do not warrant that the App will always be accurate, secure, available, error-free, suitable for a particular purpose, or free from harmful components. Nothing in the App constitutes an official academic record, guarantee of examination success, or professional advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VUBuddy Technologies and its owners, employees, contractors, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, academic opportunity, marks, profits, reputation, or access arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless VUBuddy Technologies from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another party’s rights.

We may restrict or terminate your access to the App where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements, violations of these Terms, or harm to users or third parties.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and removing any locally stored App data from your device.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, used, shared, secured, and retained.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. The invalid provision will be interpreted or modified only to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where permitted by law.
