Your CGPA so far, then the semesters you want to addHow your CGPA is worked out
CGPA = Σ (semester GPA × semester credit hours) ÷ total credit hours
- Multiply each semester's GPA by its credit hours. This gives the semester's quality points.
- Add the quality points of all semesters.
- Add the credit hours of all semesters.
- Divide the total quality points by the total credit hours.
Taking a simple average of your GPAs only works when every semester has the same credit hours. A semester with more credit hours moves your CGPA more.
Your calculation
| Semester | GPA | Cr. hrs | Quality points |
|---|---|---|---|
| This semester | 3.38 | 15 | 50.70 |
| Total | 15 | 50.70 |
