What CS201P Assignment 1 asks

This assignment requires the development of a C++ program to simulate a Community Water Refill Depot billing system. The program must process five customer orders based on the last five digits of your VU Student ID, which are extracted using modulus and division operators. You will calculate quantities, apply discounts, and determine the daily sales status based on specific financial thresholds. The final output must display individual transaction details and a comprehensive daily summary.

  1. Student Information

Hard-code your full name and VU Student ID directly into the program. These details must be displayed before any other output, and the program must not accept any user input.

  2. Transactions and Calculations

Extract the last five digits of your student ID to determine order quantities by multiplying each digit by 10. The first three orders use 5-litre containers at Rs. 70 each, while the last two orders use 19-litre containers at Rs. 180 each. You must use an iterative statement to process these five transactions.

  3. Discount and Status

Apply a 10% discount to any order containing 50 or more containers. For each transaction, display the quantity, package type, original charge, discount amount, and final charge. Finally, classify the daily sales status as LOW, NORMAL, or HIGH based on the total final amount collected.

  4. Daily Summary

After processing all transactions, output the total number of containers supplied, total original charges, total discount applied, total final amount collected, and the overall sales status. Ensure the program does not use printf or scanf functions.
